Luis E. Maldonado C.
I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of California, Irvine. I will be on the job market in AY 2021-22. My contact information is: lemaldo1 [at] uci [dot] edu.
My main research interests are Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Financial Economics, Monetary Economics, and International Macro. In particular, my research have been focused on DSGE models and its estimation using Bayesian methods, as well as in applied time series econometrics.
In my recent work I consider a DSGE model with housing and a banking sector and analyze the effects of deviating from the assumption of Rational Expectations by instead introduce a behavioral element and allow economic agents to learn about their economic environment using past information.
